The agent, Johnny Utah, got highly sophisticated training to participate with the athletes in different programmes so that they could believe him as a special one of their team and also could participate in the criminal activities. Nobody but the stunt team can get credit here. Moreover, use of visual effects has been used in most of the movies to make them more gorgeous. I'm amazed that it was allowed to be put out to the cinema in its form. Deep undercover, and with his life in danger, he strives to prove these athletes are the architects of the mind-boggling crimes that are devastating the world's financial markets.
Now the movie plots are not based on actions rather there are some dramatic elements added with the actions. Similar stunts can be seen in a more realistic form by a simple You Tube search. Use of dummies has been reduced too but in some serious cases dummies are used and most of the shots are taken by the heroes or by the stuntmen. Although the plots are belong to action genre, the common actions like battles, fighting, firings etc. I felt compelled to write this in protest to what I believe is the worst movie I have ever seen. The plot is mostly thriller than the actions. It isn't nearly as enjoyable and witty like the original and makes us wonder as to why this film was remade.
The participants had to be trained on different daring sports including snowboarding, free rock climbing, wingsuit flying, high speed motor cross, wave surfing etc. Some of the thrilling elements add another dimension with the actions and dramas. Disappointed, this film is as bad as critics and fans are saying. But the cast of the movie had to undergo different training sessions for making the athletic performances perfect. Overall, Point Break 2015 is bland, generic and quite a waste of time. We all knew they would not top the original, especially given the cast but this remake could have been a lot better. I loved the character chemistry between Bodhi and Utah.
. In fact it was suspected that the thrill-seeking athletes are involved in a serious crime and there is no visible evidence against the athletes so that they could be brought under the law. For proving himself as a trustworthy athlete, he undertakes different risks. Again, maybe this was believable in the original movie, but it is not believable here. It's so bad that I will be watching out for future films by the Directors, actors and writers to avoid all their future efforts. The movie does not have so much action sequences where visual effects could be used. Use of top class editing is another feature.
The original is a bit cheesy but it's enjoyable. The lines in this movie are so bad you would laugh if you were not so angry. It is a kind of spy movie where a spy is infiltrated into the enemy compound. This is definitely the high point of the film, especially for the extreme sports fans among us. Have to say, this is by far one of the most original and inventive plots I've come across for a crime movie. But the idea has been changed to a great extent.
Pretty standard action movie atmosphere. The romantic subplot between the girl and Utah was literally thrown in there for the sake of it and added nothing whatsoever to the plot. The plots are made in such a sophisticated manner that in the beginning there is no way to realize that the movie belongs to action genre. Deep undercover, and with his life in danger, he strives to prove these athletes are the architects of the mind-boggling crimes that are devastating the world's financial markets. The lack of suspense and thrills is gone, as well as the overall charm.
He enlists himself as an athlete to get in close contact with the other suspected athletes to expose the truth. Filming for the current one began in Berlin in June of 2014. Points off for no development of literally any other character. Especially in the case of Sexy Lamp lady who croaks for Man Tears. However, this remake, a lot of what made the original great is missing and non existent. I get that they weren't a terrorist group in the original movie, but if you want to make them terrorists, you have to change the way you do things a little. The whole thing about Bodhi being on the boat with Ozaki when he died, I mean.
As a result, the federal authority infiltrates a deep cover agent of them with the athlete group to unmask their real face. The movies of the current age have changed the ways of telling the stories too. . . . . .
